Sticky Bacon-Wrapped Sausages

This is one of the best beef recipes. 

Serves: 4

Ingredients

Blue Triangle 4 middle bacon rashers, rind removed, halved lengthways
Blue Triangle 8 beef sausages
Blue Triangle 2/3 cup barbecue sauce
Blue Triangle 2 garlic cloves, crushed
Blue Triangle 1 tablespoon brown sugar
Blue Triangle 1 teaspoon mixed dried herbs
Blue Triangle Salad leaves, to serve

 

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced. Wrap 1 piece of bacon around 1 sausage. Secure with a toothpick at each end. Place in a large baking dish. Repeat with remaining bacon and sausages.
  2. Combine barbecue sauce, garlic, sugar and herbs in a jug. Pour over sausages. Bake, basting with sauce mixture, for 35 to 40 minutes or until sausages are browned and cooked through. Remove toothpicks. Serve with salad.

 

Tips

 Serve our sticky bacon wrapped sausages with mash or salad for a delicious, hearty meal that's easy on the purse.
